This study was on “the role expectations and performances of laboratory assistants in our secondary schools in Enugu urban of Enugu State. Five research questions were used for the study. The population for this study is all secondary school teachers in the 25 secondary schools in Enugu urban of Enugu State. Thirteen (13) schools were randomly selected for the study. Questionnaires were constructed by the researchers and administered to the respondents. The data collected `were analyzed using the mean. The sampling technique used for this study was random sampling and the total sample size is (13).
