ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to investigate into how performance appraisal can enhance increased productivity in Union Bank Nig Plc. It therefore attempts to identify various employee appraising techniques, some common appraisal problems and how proper performance appraisal could enhance enhanced productivity. The study would squarely concentrate in analyzing performance appraisal techniques as management tool for increased productivity. Findings from the study revealed that the technique of performance appraisal used provides formal management procedure in the organization. Adequate care should be taken when choosing an appraisal technique since wrong choice of appraisal technique can affect employees’ morale negatively.
